++++SHOEGAZER SOLIDARITY NEEDED++++

PRELISTEN the new mile me deaf album NOW

GREAT ALBUM INCOMING

that „debut“ mile me deaf album is FUCKING GREAT. now i‘m a biased longtime fanboy anyways, so why would you listen to my cheering in this mediocre webzine? listen to all the awesomeness for yourself!

it’s like walking through an adventure park, with both the casio cotton candy moments depicted on the cover as well the anxious ‚n‘ awkward feelings when you realize you‘ll never understand those people around you. wolf and the gang give you schlager (meant in a good way!) then they give you shoegaze (fantastic new genre approaches – schlagergaze.).

‚you‘re a walking maze‘ and ‚camera‘ are the best ‚noise floor shoegaze‘ tracks since no age’s ‚everything in between‘ album. ‚faux trails‘ is splendid lofi-casio stuff (as is the fantastic ‚tapes‘ from their FREE best-of webrelease. get this as well.) ‚wild at heart‘ and ‚troubles caught‘ are soild guitarfolkpop. and so on…

i‘m getting ‚eat skull‘ on vinyl ASAP. what about you?
they‘ll play shows in vienna on June 1st (release party) and 5th at the gartenbaukino/arena. what joy!

own stuff

this is some experimental stuff i recorded over the past year. copy that shit.

review: ROBOTRA @ club d‘hommage, fluc, vienna, 5.5.12

ROBOTRA: this band is getting better all the time! i‘ve had this band on my (mostly internet-based) radar for a couple of years now…last time i saw them was late summer 2011. great lofi-indie from where the batts came from (weiz/styria). especially the new songs kick ass, yo. and they‘re charming in a way i (socially untalented as i am) can‘t express in words written on a random website.

criticism: their set was way too short. oh well.

best line: „you‘re just an ugly child in an awkward world“

if you‘re interested in this band, go over to grooveshark and listen to their silfestival 2012 set, where they covered another, now defunct weiz-based punk band, …YOU GAVE IT A WASTE ’s album in full length.

they got a 7′‘ out --> go buy it, consumer

ergo:
- NUMAVI RECORDS is god.
sonstiges:
- ICEAGE are fuckin‘ great

so long,

review: EX>MISHA/CRYSTAL SODA CREAM @ transporter, vienna, 3.5.12

EX>MISHA: is a guy from belgrad who is doing weirdo-indiepop with a guitar & a laptop. and i think he is doing it great. use some search engine to find his bandcamp site and download his album – you won‘t regret it. it‘ always nice to go somewhere and unexpectedly discover new artists like i did here. much appreciated.

CRYSTAL SODA CREAM: were a bit weak in comparison, but i know they can do better (they usually have a real drumkit as well). if you (who would read this anyways, i‘m talking to nobody) don‘t know them: they play wave/postpunk. and they‘re from graz. and they are part of the wilhelm show me the major label-posse. and they are worth checkin‘ out.
